Artificial Intelligence Surpassing Human IQ Could Come at Anytime Now

Many specialists in the field of Artificial Intelligence argue when is AI going to surpass human intelligence. Indeed, there is now an AI Checker Playing system that can play a perfect game of checkers, we know that IBM built a Chess playing machine that beat a top human chess player, thus some say that AI has already surpassed human intelligence.

Of course those are just games and a human mind is capable of multiple intelligences, so when will an AI machine be as smart as the World's Smartest human? Well, this question has been posed and most AI scientists believe it will come around 2020 or 2030. I completely disagree, why you ask?

Well, you know there sure seem to countless pessimists in the ranks of AI niche scientists, in fact it seems that many humans do not achieve what they seek due to this negative feedback. So we really need Artificial Intelligence to design an artificial intelligent system that can surpass all the humans, who are stuck in linear thought convincing themselves that it cannot be done until a prescribed date.

Who can tell us why everyone is convincing everyone else it cannot be done for 2 decades, why? Just because someone says it cannot be done does not mean it is so. When they say such things it only means that they believe they cannot do it in less time and if they believe that, then they are right, but for others to adopt such a line of reasoning simply does not follow any sort of real logic.

Therefore those who cannot think logically, well why are they in the field of AI which combines various human thought processes with machines of logic? Let's say the upper end human IQ is no more than 210, which really is not that high when you think about it, why couldn't we develop a system that mimics human thought processes using many combinations of strategies, why is everyone so adamant about their specific methods, which often can only attain a certain level presently.

Having had many original thoughts on the subject that I have not seen in any research papers, it appears to me that we are about a "half a break thru" from cracking the whole thing right now, not in 20 years. It could come at any time, the sooner the better.

The entire subject is interesting really. Those who predict such a long-term point of singularity almost seem to be promoting job security. Twenty years is not good enough, that is unacceptable. We should not promote weakness, laziness, defeatism or attempt to convince ourselves we cannot do something until some far off date when half these niche scientists maybe dead by then? It is time to bring Artificial Intelligent to the forefront now, not in 2-decades. Think on it.

Lucrative PPC Advertising - Do Not Go Wrong with Your PPC Advertising

Pay per click advertisement is really a helpful vehicle in an online business. But if you do not utilize this means properly, it is just very easy for you to go the wrong direction. So as much as possible try to avoid the mistakes that would lead to potential losses. You can always go right and earn more with the proper use of PPC advertising on your web site.

Here are the mistakes that are commonly being committed. Try to review them and avoid them on your PPC campaign.

1.Avoid directing the PPC ad to your homepage. As you know people will click your PPC advertisement hoping that they would be led to the information that they are trying to find. If you lead them to your homepage and they would need to check on everything there just to find those keywords, then they might find other sites instead.

2.Do not mix different products or services in your landing page. This can actually confuse your customers. These potential customers will not become customers and would disappear in the thin air once they got confused with the information that you are offering. Make sure to customize the landing page directly addressing the needs of the clients.

3.Shun away from generic advertisements. You should customize the advertisement in a way that it sets you different from others. Use specific words that describe how unique your company is. Also include the benefits that customers can get from your products.

4.You should have tests ads. Do not just stick with having one ad for a certain keyword. You can actually create variations using only one keyword. From there, you would be able to determine which work well with these ads.

The Perils Of The Home Office

So youve started a home business. You went out and purchased a nice desk and comfortable chair, and maybe even a new computer with all of the necessary extras. Now youre ready to earn an income from home! How nice it will be to be your own boss, to work when you feel like it and to answer to no one. At least thats what you think.

If your business involves the internet youre probably going to spend a lot of time at your desk. You think your desk at work was a mess? You have no idea. This past year was one of the most stressful times Ive ever experienced; mostly due to the chaos that was my Home Office, conveniently located in my dining room. Here is the type of scenario that played itself out in my home on a daily basis:

Get up, fix coffee, take cup to desk, move slinky off desk, let the dog out, open email, start making list of tasks to complete, answer the phone, take a message for husband, leave note on desk, let the dog back in, separate screaming siblings, remember to pay phone bill, locate phone bill among the dozen or so envelopes piled up on desk, write check, leave the prepared bill among the remnants of the other bills, three-year-old runs up to give Mommy a hug and spills coffee all over desk, throw out the phone bill with the pile of trash (forgetting its there in the first place) along with sons school enrollment paperwork thats been lying on desk under home business catalogs and order forms and phone message taken earlier for husband.'

The result of my morning's effort? Enrollment is late, phone bill isnt paid on time, and husband wonders if I'll ever regain sanity. Rewind, repeat tomorrow, next week, next month etc.

Sound familiar? If youre new to home business, then maybe you havent yet experienced the perils of the Home Office. I think the phrase is an oxymoron for most people. Theres very little divide between the stuff for home and the stuff for your business. Even if youre lucky enough to have a separate room for your office, I bet your family (and you too) are guilty of leaving items or taking stuff to and from your desk. I dont know how many times I have looked for the three ring hole punch, only to find it on my daughter's art table along with the kitchen tongs and bathroom plunger.

So youre asking yourself, How do I keep my desk organized and my desk contents out of the hands of my family? Good question. There are dozens of articles and books written to help get organized, but if you and your family are not respectful of the Home Office Space, then no number of organizing binders and boxes and tabs and expanding folders will help. I tried. Really I did. I kept finding my lovely wicker In/Out Box in my daughter's room, you guessed it, by the art table with the other items she borrowed.

What finally helped my stressful Home Office situation was to schedule a time every week to throw away old bills, to not even bring the junk mail into the house in the first place, and to use a simple file folder system located in my desk drawer to keep my home business paperwork, and family papers. As far as the littlest sneak thief - I gave my daughter her own desk drawer full of interesting things to look at. Simple plan. Now if I could just find that ringing telephone!

Recharge Your Battery

It was 4:15PM on a Thursday when I arrived at the hair salon to get my haircut. My hair appointment was at 5PM but I arrived there quite early.

As I set down in the comfortable leather chair in the little "waiting corner," I looked down to my left with an intention to pick a magazine from the big basket that was filled with maybe over 50 magazines.

I sorted through the magazines but nothing would catch my eye. There were so many different magazines; I couldn't decide which one to pick and read while waiting.

Then, as I lifted a big batch of magazines to choose from, one of them fell down on the floor. I immediately dropped all the other magazines back into the basket and took the one that fell on the floor.

The beautiful view of a tropical island in the background, surrounded by crisp clear water covering the entire cover of the magazine, got my attention.

The magazine contained a large number of photos from tropical islands, vacation resorts and everything tropical you can imagine. I submerged myself into the pictures so much that 40 minutes went by like 4 seconds.

When I was all done with the haircut, I asked Isabella (the hair stylist) if I could take the magazine. She said that it wouldn't be a problem because anyway they recycle the magazines at the end of each month when they bring new ones in.

The magazine is called Islands. It was a June 2004 issue. When I went home I put it next to my computer and until today's day, it's still sitting there.

I look through it periodically. All my life I've lived in the northern hemisphere of the planet, and winter is definitely not my favorite season. Not to even mention the driving headaches when we get dumped with a few feet of snow.

The tropical theme has always been a dream place of mine.

So, every time I feel down, discouraged, marketing plan isn't working well, a goal doesn't get accomplished, problems and obstacles appearing out of nowhere, motivation is down, no inspiration, the world is coming down on me ... and so on ...

I take few peaceful minutes - no children, no computer. I pick up the magazine and literally isolate myself from this world. I transfer my soul to the tropical beauty shown in the pictures and I visualize myself living there and not just vacationing.

My battery gets recharged; I get the smile back on my face and I say to myself: "One day ...."

How many times have you felt down and depressed because of one reason or another?

How many times have you felt that you needed to recharge your battery? How many times have you lost your inspiration and motivation? How many times have you faced problems and obstacles that discouraged you from persisting with your goal?

What brought you up and what pulled you down during these crucial times?

I remember back in 1994 when I was starting college, a friend of mine gave me a study to read. The study came from a major corporate research. It was on "why executives rise to the height of their company and why other people don't."

The executives told in their words what they did to achieve such a success. I don't have that study anymore but I remember it very well because I'm still practicing what they said.

One of the steps was to have material goals. Something that you can see.

The material goals represent something far beyond material form. When you visually see the material goals that you're striving for, you receive the feeling of the kind of person you need to become in order to have them.

That feeling will recharge your fuel cells and bring your enthusiasm to the front line.

We live in a material world and we have to operate in a material world. We want material things because they're a representation of who we are.

What you want is good, because what you want is an extension of you becoming better.

And sometimes, you just need a basic material something to spark you into a higher level of achievement.
