1. God told us not to:

That should be the end of the story, but, of course we know that even though God tells us not to judge, we still will.

2. Judging others can make people feel bad about themselves:

As Christians, our job should be to empower people and make them feel good about Gods love. When we try to correct our friends, colleagues, students, children, etc through judgment, we normally end up putting a curse on them. A curse so strong that it normally stays with that person for the rest of their lives. (Without realizing it, our judgment on others puts a wedge between them and God. When that happens, God will certainly make sure we are dealt with.)

3. We are not as smart as we think:

How many times have we thought Oh, why is John doing it that way. this way is so much better. just to find out that someone else is doing it way better than both of you. THERE WILL ALWAYS be someone better than you at something. How dare you judge?

4.We are not as righteous as we think:

We are all in a state of growth. Hopefully for most, it is a growing up.. not down.

One of the least righteous thing to do is to judge another. So, in essence, by judging how righteous someone is or isnt is being unrighteous in itself. Therefore, as you are judging your neighbor for not being righteous, God is doing the same to you.

5.Our judgment can kill somebody:

God said in the Bible There will always be homeless. He said we should share with those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

For some reason today, we have an attitude that the homeless are lazy, or that if they lived their life properly they wouldnt be in their situation.

These judgments make us feel less guilty as we watch our brothers and sisters die of starvation, the cold, disease, and lack of love.

Remember: Some of us are just a paycheck or a disaster away from being homeless ourselves.

6.Our judgments can make peoples conditions worsen:

Everybody is different. We dont have the ability to relate to what people are going through, unless, we are going through or have gone through the exact experience.

When we watch ballplayers that have injuries, we boo them when they sit out for week. Because of this, sometimes, ballplayers are so afraid of being booed that they play with the injury.

What happens when you play with an injury? The injury worsens. Now, instead of missing one weeks worth of games, you can end up missing an entire season.

This happens in every area of work. We judge people for not working when they are sick or injured.

There are some people who never get sick. It is easy for them to say work through your sickness. They say that until one day they get so sick that they cant work.

These people finally come to understand, but, way too late.

7. Our judgments make people afraid to fail:

There is a saying you learn from your mistakes. All the greatest musicians, inventors, and entrepreneurs spent most of their life failing before they became successful.

How many diseases that we have today might have been cured, if not for the people who judged the Salks of the World.

When God said Do not Judge, he had 1,000s of reasons for saying this. Our judgment can do no good for people. Let God do the judging and let us spend our time removing the shaft from our eyes.
